A Birthday PoemBirthdayA Birthday Poem by silvercross1998
Cake, confetti, presents, and ice cream.
All make a party and a fun one indeed.
Friends and family flock to the fun
and your home starts to fill up one by one.
You talk, you laugh, you sing, you play
as the party reaches its peak in a day.
Then, the for socializing ends
and the time for cake begins.
It is tall and big with green frosting all over
decorated with candles, bows, ribbons, and sparklers.
The cake is delicious, but I could not eat it all
so my friends help me until they were all full.
Now it is time to open the gifts you’ve received.
You ask your friends, you wine, beg, pester and plead.
They say no it is a surprise
You pick up one to see what’s inside
After you’ve opened all your presents
We clean up the wrapping paper to start the next events.
The real fun starts now, the games have begun
board games, team games, boy I wish this to never be done,
You look outside to see to the sun setting in the sky
which means it is time to say goodbye.
